2021 Children's Library Program: Tails and Tales

Ohio Summer Library Shows

You’ve probably had balloon performers at your branch before, but this is different. Mark and Marlo share a program that incorporates this year's “Tails and Tales” theme in ways that you've likely never seen before. Here’s how it goes:
  • Audience members don pre-made balloon creations to become the characters from a classic fairy tale. An adult from the crowd reads the story, and the actors bring it to life in front of everyone, using balloon sculptures in a collaborative way!
  • Mark will share a fascinating and inspiring story about a brave animal overcoming the odds through courage and love. Weaving his tale using both words and balloons, your audience will be completely spellbound from start to finish.
  • Lastly, they'll teach the crowd how to make their own balloon creations - so they can make their own props, encouraging them to keep bringing their stories to life at home.
They're very excited about the upcoming season, and hope that you'll consider making them a part of yours!

Mark and Marlo were a huge hit! Adults and children alike were spellbound by their presentation which was full of laughs and imagination. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to any library considering them for their summer schedule.
